Pacific Ocean Dust Plumes – 20 Year AOD data

AVHRR Pathfinder Atmosphere products use a quasi-equal area grid (equivalent to the area of a 1-degree latitiude/longitude grid box - approx. 110km x 110km) for the computation of statistics and the storage of mapped data. Software is provided in the imaging tools to convert to a 1-degree equal angle grid for display purposes.

These datasets captured well Pacific Ocean Dust Plumes, but not limited them. The observation period of current data ( http://www-abc-asia.ucsd.edu/data_archive/AVHRR_PATHFINDER/ ) spanned about two decades from July 1981 through June 2001.
